Good reception from the ISS this morning on the 10:17am Pass. Down converting 2395 to 895Mhz to monitor the signal as it passes. Just the Black screen for testing at the moment, but hopefully something more interesting will appear soon.

Nice Dish setup at CAT 25 Yesterday.

Tried to receive the ISS HamTV yesterday with a different setup. Just using a cheap Aliexpress BT - 281 (2.2 - 2.4Ghz) MMDS and a 1M dish. Fitted a N socket and connected directly to the feed. Managed a MER of 7.4 even with a quoted NF of 2.5 dB.

Home made 1m Mesh prime focus dish, TQP3M9073 LNA from Ali EX, feeding a Minitiouner receiver. Tracking software by YO3RAK with arduino uno.

ISS HamTV received this afternoon. MER 8.9 was the best I could do.

HamTV installation has been scheduled for 1405 UTC on Tuesday 29 July 2025.
A succesful install should have the HamTV equipment active around 1605 UTC and transmitting a carrier on 2395 MHz.
Estimated power at the antenna is approx. 2 watts, RHCP.

Great copy of the ISS yesterday here in Wisbech Cambs, sitting outside listening with the Quansheng Handheld just with it's rubber duck antenna.

MFG receiver worked well until they went digital. Not sure if they are scrambled or just digital now.

50Mhz wide open this afternoon. Italian station IZ3NYG booming in here.

Not long to go hopefully. Ariss update - HamTV is tentatively scheduled for late June installation in the ISS.

More tweaking of the Tracker software today. Good tracking now from 120 - 255 Deg's. Follows closely within 1 Deg. Should be all I would need to track the ISS from this QTH. Fitted the 0.7db NF Lna and measured Sun Noise at 2395Mhz as 2.5db. Not bad for a 1m dish. Fitted a counter balance weight.

Managed to do a bit of Azimuth Tracking Calibration yesterday for the Mesh Dish. Good tracking from 180 - 240deg's before the sun dissapeared below the roof tops. I knew that pizza cardboard box would come in handy.

Well done Rob. I see PE0SAT was receiving something on a 5 Turn Helix mounted on a broomstick! Must try my 1m PF dish next week and see if I can detect anything.

Elevation calibration on the dish controller completed today. Seems good tracking. Azimuth calibration still to do but need the Sun for that. Could be a long wait.😊

More progress on the Dish Controller today. Tracking seems to work. Actual position on the left and Command on the right of the display. Sending serial data from the PC via the Com Port.

Cutting holes in the front panel for the Dish Controller.
Next fun bit will be programing up the Arduino.

Started building a 1m prime focus dish early in 2024 in the hope of receiving TV Pictures from the ISS on 2395Mhz. Finally got it on the PZT mount. Just need to finish the control interface.
