Struggling with morality this morning on multiple fronts
I am all for discussing privilege and power imbalance and colonial and imperialistic violence as catalysts for more cycles of violence as well as the general wide acceptance in the West of Palestinians dying, as if it's all just numbers, but my basic principle is that each life is a story & a world.
Humanism is cool bc I think every human life is worthy of freedom and dignity and that's why I work so hard to politically shift my shul to a more Pro-Palestine stance & support efforts in my city to divest from Israel 👍 while also not wanting Jewish ppl to die 👍👍
People are bending over backwards to say murdering a bunch of 4 years olds would've been morally righteous, and I'm like...look I'm sorry but we have to have some basic principles here.
