A bonus of making good espresso, is making amazing espresso martinis
Supply Chain Series. CUPS!
I use Karat Cups by Lollipop, ordered through a third party - Barista Underground. Lollipop has a facility in NJ and is publicly traded company.
I use these cups for their convenience and price. Orders are in the 1000's and end up costing roughly $0.10/cup+lid.
It's important to know your supply chain. I've already shared my oat milk (Minor Figures) is a product of Canada. I'll continue this as series to learn and share all aspects of my supply chain.
Lovely weekend repair.
Had some trouble at the Farmers Market on Saturday. Luckily, I have an amazing tech who talked me through the fix.
Come to HudCo on Thursday 2/6 for a cozy afternoon of shopping from local makers and small businesses, featuring unique gifts, handcrafted treasures, delicious treats, and plenty of heartwarming vibes.

Most of the major barista oat milk brands are made in Canada including Minor Figures.
Currently I buy 24 cartons for $89.99.
With potential tariffs incoming, it’ll be interesting to see if there’s change.

In New York City, Starbucks is closing the busy and locally loved Park Slope location - without even bargaining with our union over the store’s closure.
Customers & allies from all over the city are flooding Park Slope’s lobby right now in solidarity with union baristas!✊

I'll be at the Hastings Farmers Market through the winter.
Higher coffee prices would have sucked but now the cost of lower prices is now a direct result of the inhuman treatment of people looking to better their lives.
Nothing comes without a cost, hidden or visible.
Colombia was threatened with tariffs by the US government over immigration and coffee prices (among other commodities) would have risen faster than expected. The Columbia government and the US demands have come to an agreement to avoid tariffs.
I've been lucky enough to be able to start my journey on opening my own cafe. A huge thank you to Hudco in Dobbs Ferry, NY to allow me to pop up in their coworking space.
First pour of the day for first post on Bluesky.
