It wasn't from their official twitter or anything, just one of their ADs putting out a thread at random (and she didn't mention Daggerheart/Darrington anywhere either, just that it was for an upcoming fantasy project). Very easy to miss! 😓

I think I remember a twitter thread from one of their ADs asking for folios, but no formal process! Not sure how it'll work in future though

Reminded of hiw every time you Game Over in Banjo Kazooie they show an elaborate sequence of the villain's evil plan succeeding, which wasn't even that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things

Important to note that these hours don't track time spent eating or taking small breaks, so they're generally not "8 hour" days — only time spent actually focused working was recorded

My avg comes in around 40-45/hr, but varies piece to piece!

sometimes I get a really cool part foreshortened, and then remember that I still have to do everything ELSE in the scene too

If you can find second-hand Herman Miller Aeron or any of the Steelcase office chairs, they're incredible. The sticker price is ridiculous but lots of offices seem to churn through chairs, and you can find em in decent condition around lots of cities if that's an option.

It's nice! I liked the version with the green/white/blue stripes, but this is still a pretty good option

'23 was a really good year for me art-wise! I landed some awesome projects that'll be coming out next year, and got to push into some new territory for both style and medium — can't wait to show what I've been working on lately ☺️

Still a backup until features get a lot more developed and membership becomes more desirable. Some communities seem to be rockin' it, but overall there isn't a huge demand for most folks to get here. It's mostly content creators, not so much consumers.

My favourite is choosing #1 but then blacking out and realizing that my body decided we're doing #2

It always feels like they rightfully hire designers early on, but after the apps have made it past that volcanic stage the execs keep side-eyeing design teams like "hey, why do we keep y'all on?", to which the employees gotta pitch reasons that they're still needed

Well I mean, they looked around at the economic system and thought "it CAN'T be THAT"

I mean, worst case you'll realize it when you get better, and by then it'll be too late to feel bad :D
