There are a lot of sad killjoys out there. It's like, no one cares if you do not like something, especially in a space of people who do, let others who do just enjoy it.

We use to call this voobing (20+ years ago), which was a type of pulsing light setting from Rise of the Triad. A term lost to time.

This is incredibly relatable. When i get into the stream grove, the anxiety fades a bit, but when i slip or stop, it becomes a mountain of anxiety to overcome.

Was excited about a new game today, but after playing it learned it had a Stardew Valley forced sleep cycle and that just super stresses me out. So after an hour, had to put the game to the side because, its just to stressful for me to enjoy.

Something I love about Serial Experiments Lain is that it is unabashedly a *horror* series. Horror isn't just people getting mangled or jump scares, it can also be the isolating fear from queerness and neurodivergence, presented in just enough of a heightened way to allow you to explore it safely.

Like I can totally understand why MtG went this route, as its where the money is, and people want to see their favorite franchises and characters as MtG cards. I can imagine a very young me being excited about some of these things, but it feels like they sort of gave up on being their own thing.

While i have no stake in it and stopped playing in 2016 or earlier, I feel sad that Magic the Gathering (MtG) has become mostly a vessel for other franchises now. Watching something lose it's own identity just to become something that mostly sells other major IPs is just a bit depressing really.

What really bites is that all of that really just drowns out the new Lorwyn set, which basically feels like almost an afterthought when looking at the full picture.

i feel almost lucky to have dropped out of MtG before all this began. i was looking over the news for the sets and secret lairs this morning, and could not help but laugh at the fact that MtG is now Dwight Schrute piloting the Enterprise while wearing the One Ring and fighting Venom.

Our world is cruel - so I'm inventing a kinder one. 🌱

ive considered getting some form of foot rest for under the desk, but have been concerned id just ignore it or kick it off to the side over time anyway. Do you find it helps at all?

Also, even while focusing on it, i really just want to take my feet off the floor. It's like, quite not pleasant.
