I just launched the steam page for my retro dungeon crawling CRPG Chronicles IV!

It's some Ultima crossed with some Into the Breach with a dash of permadeath 😁

Chronicles uses a homemade emulation of the Tandy 3-Voice sound chip for all of its audio.

All sound and music are composed in a custom tracker tool I made for working with the 3V's channels!

i spent a little while getting PC-88 emulation working.

I would print my qbasic out on the dot matrix and bring a stack of paper to school to give it to my friend so they could go type it in and see it at home which they declined to do

thank you for sharing it! The TIC-80 honestly looks so cool, I'm biased but I think branching out and trying other frameworks is so important. Game is so hard!! I did manage to get 1 loop eventually 😂 brain was not cooperating with fingers

wow, this hud! this is amazing. it has such a great sense of fine-featuredness and scale~! look at how they do the edge treatment on the masonry around the text fields. it has wonderful one-off details while still having a fair amount of symmetry.

Glad you liked it! The process was fairly painless, I was honestly impressed with how much architecture they have to guide you through everything and keep it from being overwhelming.
