There's a difference between using a word and saying a word and that difference is incredibly important when it comes to slur reclamation. Using a slur doesn't take any power away from it, it just reinforces the slur's power.
My take on r-slur discourse is that "no slur is beyond reclamation" and "most people who say they're reclaiming it are just using it as a slur and that's bad" are completely compatible positions and they're both correct
The worst part of having ADHD isn't just that I constantly make bad decisions, it's that I'm fully aware that I'm making bad decisions even as I'm making them
