They most certainly are not doing that.
The scenario you described is protected under the Equality Act 2010 as victimisation. I am sure the decision maker in her disciplinary case can remain impartial.

One thing supporters have to do though is not fall into the trap of arguing back that this will be easy and no big deal. It will be painful and some very difficult cases will come up.
So I just deactivated my x account. The last straw were people advocating stopping being organ donors because of the assisted dying legislation. What is going on in the world.
