In fiction we like to give villains backstory and nuance as motivation for their actions to make them more "realistic," but most villains in real life are just greedy, self-centered sociopaths who enjoy hurting people different than themselves.

Stephen Miller looks like the kind of person who spends his free time strangling puppies.

Destroying the UN because Trump had to walk up stairs and speak without a teleprompter...

Pretty hilarious that conservatives are basically admitting that Trump can easily be defeated by having to walk up stairs or speak without a teleprompter telling him what to say.

They really tried hard to make him into their own Horst Wessel. Unfortunately for them and their narrative it wasn't a communist who killed him.

To me a dog-eared book tells a story. Someone read this book, stopped at this particular page on their way through it. The more dog ears it has the more it tells me that it was a well-loved book.

I've only read a few of her books so far, but I think my favorite is Foreigner.

The Pride of Chanur by C J Cherryh. It's a scifi story about first contact between humans and aliens, but told from the point of view of the aliens.

Charlie Kirk looks like the kinda person who would immediately fold in half if someone looked at him in a mean way.

Not a single one of these people have felt a moment of joy that did not come at the expense of someone else.
