Just reflecting on a lovely day in the Highlands working with Golspie High School and Dornoch Academy as they launched YPI for this year. Between them, they have granted over £50,000 to local charities - just brilliant!

It was great to hear from last year’s winning charity @stirlingcarers.bsky.social on the impact of the grant!

When you connect with partners, students can gain real-world insights, support from others can lighten the load and with shared goals and collaboration, the impact can go beyond YPI alone.

It was a beautiful morning over Glasgow today for the YPI launch at @kingsparksec.bsky.social The pupils engaged well throughout. We can’t wait to come back and see how everything has come together for the YPI final in a few months!

Today is World Alzheimer’s Day

Last year alone, five YPI grants were awarded to local initiatives run by Alzheimer Scotland, with additional funding going to St Andrews Dementia Hub and Dementia Friendly Pentlands. This funding is helping provide vital services and raise awareness across Scotland.

A great planning meeting this morning with Langholm Academy as they begin their YPI journey.

Very much looking forward to supporting them with YPI this year, even more so now I know how lovely Langholm is to visit!

It may feel very autumnal in Fife today but the wildflowers are still blooming at Woodmill High School as are plans for this years YPI.

Plans include working with DYW as well as local businesses to enhance pupils presentation skills and access to charities.

It’s all aboard for a whole new YPI delivery team at Grove Academy today.

5 teachers new to YPI attended an info session to get them up to speed with all our wonderful resources and hear our top tips for success.

Lots of enthusiasm and some healthy competition between classes was on display.

We talked about what impact £3000 could make to local charities and tested their sales pitches by asking what they would spend £3000 on in their school.

We voted between heating and transport and the bus pitch won, great work everyone.
