Trump fires US labor board member, hobbling agency amid legal battles President Donald Trump has removed a Democratic member of the U.S. National Labor Relations Board from office, an unprecedented move that will escalate an ongoing legal battle over the scope of the president's powers to control federal agencies.

Trump fired the NLRB's pro-worker general counsel and its acting chair.

He's effectively gutted the agency tasked with defending the rights of workers to organize.

Guess who has recently filed lawsuits aimed at invalidating the agency altogether?

Amazon and SpaceX.
