What Crops Work Best with Agrivoltaics?
Agree and lots of other good info on agrivoltaics already in the replies. Current thinking is that they work best in hot, dry places (and for shade-tolerant plants). This is a good summary that I use in a Climate Change Impacts class:

Power of Place: Clean Energy Solutions that Protect People and Nature
TNCβs national report can help energy planners and policymakers execute net-zero strategies that maximize benefits for climate, nature, and people.
The amount of land required for solar is not as much as many think, and there is plenty of suboptimal land available such as roadsides, former mining areas, etc. This recent report maps it out:

US power sector emissions - gas overtook coal like 4 years ago
Florida emissions - gas filled out whatever was lost from coal
pennsylvania emissions
texas emissions
Recently heard it's better to switch from coal to gas rather than fossil to clean - in a professional setting, and from someone who had held an extremely prominent and influential position.
Gas power emissions now up where coal was in 2017, in the US. Look at the 3 highest emitting states:

Photo of a coffee mug with a joke about how Scott Moe is going to be mad about people he doesn't like until the day he dies.
My reaction after seeing the Sask Party's pronoun policy get put on ice by a Saskatchewan judge who understands the purpose and importance of protecting the Charter and human rights of gender diverse children.
Die mad, Scott Moe! You murderous lunatic.
I pray for a new Sask government every day π

My heart sunk when I learned that my small, conservative town had closed all our school libraries. π It's disheartening. Never imagined I'd yearn for just missing 'banned books,' but I'd trade them any day to have libraries back. ππ
