Broke ground on the North Commons Park renovation project with Minneapolis city officials! It was my honor to help secure a $2 million federal grant for a new three-gym fieldhouse, new waterpark slides and more to provide a safe space for our community.

Joined the grand opening of Wadaag Commons, an affordable housing complex in Minneapolis aiming to combat homelessness. I was proud to secure $1.8 million in federal funding for this project and I’ll keep fighting to invest in affordable housing for all.

Labor Department proposes rewriting or repealing more than 60 'obsolete' rules in push to deregulate workplaces The Labor Department says the goal is to deliver on President Donald Trump's commitment to restore American prosperity through deregulation.

Stripping away labor protections makes it easier for companies to exploit labor without consequence.

There is nothing “obsolete” about keeping people safe on the job. This will endanger workers in high-risk industries.

460K student loan borrowers to be denied repayment plan Those borrowers make up about 31 percent of the 1.5 million backlog for income-driven repayment applications.

The rejection of applications is a reminder that the Trump admin is facilitating a broken student loan system.

Court blocks Trump administration from ending deportation protections for Afghans for now An appeals court has temporarily blocked the Trump administration from revoking deportation protections and work permits for thousands of people from Afghanistan.

The courts are blocking Trump's actions because they know it's a heartless betrayal of our Afghan allies. We must continue to do everything we can to uphold the promise we made to the ones who fought for us.
