I was proud to secure $2.5 million in federal funding for the construction of Simpson Community Shelter and Apartments. This facility provides housing, resources, and support to folks impacted by homelessness. #DeliveringForTheFifth

Labeling Cuba as a “national security threat” is a lie used to justify economic war. The goal is to crush the Cuban people, manufacture a humanitarian catastrophe, and force regime change at any cost.

It is unconscionable and cruel. We must stop it.

Minnesota has now been turned into a war zone by a federal government that has lost sight of the values that make America great.

We must impeach Kristi Noem and abolish ICE.

Today the House is voting on funding for ICE.

This rogue agency should not receive a single penny. It should be abolished and prosecuted.

ICE is spreading fear and chaos through our state - taking kids from schools, abducting people, and shipping them to detention camps with no due process.

I sat down with leaders from Columbia Heights to discuss ways we can fight back at the local, state, and federal levels.

We started our day with a visit to North High School. It was incredible to talk to students about their vision for the future and answer their questions.

I continue to be inspired by the resilience our kids are showing, especially as our community is under attack.

I sat down with Nekima Levy Armstrong, Chauntyll Allen, and community leaders to hear directly how ICE has been assaulting lawful protestors in Minnesota.

The right to peacefully assemble is protected in our Constitution. The brutal treatment of nonviolent protesters must end.

The Church of Dios Habla Hoy in Minneapolis has worked to feed over 14,000 families who don't feel safe leaving their homes. This is exactly the kind of love that makes our state so strong.

I joined church coordinators to thank them for their incredible service.

ICE's violent assault on our state has left small business owners struggling to stay afloat.

I visited Midtown Global Market with @pressley.house.gov to meet with Midtown's leadership and small business owners to hear firsthand the challenges they are facing during ICE's occupation of our city.

It was incredible to tour Centro Tyrone Guzman with @pressley.house.gov - the longest standing Latino serving organization in our state.

They’re doing incredible work supporting Minnesotans.

Despite the fear and sorrow facing our communities at the moment, I continue to be inspired by the incredible resilience Minnesotans are showing our country and our world every single day.

The Senate is set to vote on the DHS funding bill that shamefully passed the House last week.

The House is voting today on legislation that will permanently damage the Boundary Waters.

This bill would clear the way for a massive sulfide-ore copper mining operation, causing irreversible harm.

I will be voting NO. Our beautiful Boundary Waters shouldn’t be for sale.

ICE's Operation Metro Surge has resulted in the murder of Renee Nicole Good. It's unjustifiable.

Minnesotans deserve transparency and accountability. That means our state and local law enforcement must have a hand in this investigation.

I led a letter with 159 Members of Congress to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem demanding accountability for ICE's indefensible actions resulting in the killing of a woman in South Minneapolis.

Minnesotans deserve answers. That must include an unbiased, thorough investigation.

‘She was an amazing human being’: Mother identifies woman shot, killed by ICE agent Renee Nicole Good, 37, lived in Minneapolis with her partner just blocks from where she was shot.

Renee Nicole Good is remembered as a loving mother, wife, and friend.

Her care for community drove her to stand up for her immigrant neighbors. ICE's indefensible actions have caused unfathomable pain.

My deepest condolences go out to her loved ones.

Today, the House voted to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits.

Millions of Americans have already seen their health insurance premiums skyrocket. It is unacceptable and the House must undo the damage caused by Republicans.

Voted YES.
