Man, I hate that kind of embarrassment, its almost as bad as flames on the side of my face.
really hoping Origins 2 gives us a unique model for Ma Su just so he can have his 15 minutes of Fuckery
Considering trying to click on the source gave me a 'register an account' wall and those always make me click off, I daresay the results of this polling are not from an unbiased sample set.
Is it a second spire, or did they just fail to slay it the first time?
This is interesting, but I deeply disagree that Maniac Mansion is a three hour game. Would have been more interested to see how people handled something like Loom as a starting point.
In their defence, Kingdom Hearts had the same problem once, in full HD, and that had Disney's brand behind it.
Good article, fun concept, I am completely distracted by this small section of the diploma screenshot and how poorly chosen of a font it has.
It is, historically, one of only two things* I don't like about the game
(I played SWTOR in the 2010s if it isn't obvious xD)
*(The other thing is Zenos, the second worst character in all of fiction after Teddie from Persona 4)
I took a break a year ago after 7.1, when I say 'many rants' I mean 'during 5 years of twitch streams'
One day I will have the free time to go down and comment on every single screenshot in this thread with 'What game is this from?'
(and on that day I will be blocked, probably)
I'll rephrase
I know the mechanics of how people do it, I just don't possess the neural pathways that make that process satisfying or appealing :P
And I do not understand how anyone can value the Warrior of Light's hero journey or feel engaged in the plot when you are literally walking around as a well dressed mime
I have ranted maybe 20 times about how FFXIV fails me in one aspect - I do not give a shit about my own character because he is a piece of wood no matter how much fashion customisation there may be
Currently finishing Trails from Zero; spent 84 hours combing every piece of dialogue in a completionist run then spent 16 hours fast forwarding through everything on a new game plus run to pick up the last six achievements. If I didn't have that function I would be crawling the walls
Oh I am absolutely just hoping, computer is magic that make thing go
This is largely good news that might motivate me to shift sometime in 2029 once the easy roads all start to close down!
If 11 has support for another 4-5 years, that's an OKAY amount of time for decent progress?
As little as a couple years ago my Linux nerd friend off-hand mentioned there were a few games he had to 'swap back and forth from Windows just to play' and that made my eyes glaze over and never think about it again π€£
When you say -indistinguishable- does that include 'your entire steam library and all of your collection of emulators will just work and you won't have to worry about bricking any games anymore' or is that too bold a promise?
The main thing that's had me never even give it a glance is game concern.
The main point that catches my eye is that I don't even know what an NPU is, and if none of the components I bought for my brand new $3k machine last year have one, they're definitely not getting me for a long long time.
*cry-laughs in Australian dollars*
(It is 90% cry)
From parsing through the egregious amount of discourse, most people are saying that the examples he mentioned to 'prove his point' (his friends who he is known for ribbing) all had their most massive projects take off at age 40+
Sure, but its not a realistic scenario to begin with - entertainment does not *stop being made*.
The intent is to reduce potential anxiety by pointing out how much we already have. At least, from the consumer perspective. "If you're worried about the future of games" being the topic opener.
Voiced by one of the GWAR dudes
I'm... kinda not worried? If the games industry stopped making new stuff yesterday there'd still be enough stuff I haven't played yet to last me until I died 5 times over.
Sure hope all the devs get a better future than that one, though.
Because there's a launch bonus art book that will expire as the upgrade comes out, so that some people will cave.
This is interesting because my instinct when this comes up is to say 'hold on I'll check my steam hours' and feed the answer directly out of data instead of just guessing π
But yeah I'd probably blunder it off the cuff
As I've done Mr. Fires and Mr. Veils in the past, here is a third Fallen London Masters of the Bazaar valentine!
Funny....I'm not sure who this is....
The gift article system is really good, and gets the important stuff the priority/exceptions they need!
In this case the, uh, inner working of Moot's mind is maybe not urgent public information beyond the headline though >.>
