So many writers querying me with their names uncapitalized. Like, is this a choice - a trend? Or a typo?

The stats:
Out of the 50+ queries I read today, I requested to read 5 full manuscripts.

Trends I noticed after reading 50+ queries today:
- Horror novels abt trauma manifesting in monstrous form
- So many dead relatives from car crashes. So many
- Unhappy/tragic endings. Hint: give me at least 1 survivor
- Writers subbing SF as other genres even though I'm not looking for SF right now

When you get to the point in reading queries where everything sounds good or everything sounds bad, then it's time to call it quits for the day.

Those "top agents" could just pass and all the writer is left with is an offer from some poor agent they were hoping to use as leverage.

This means many of the best agents are going to pass just because of the limited time, so the author is actually shooting themselves in the foot.
I get not starting off with the best agents in the querying process, but don't save them for last and rush them.

Unfortunately this means the agents high on their list have the least amount of time for consideration, since they're starting off with only 2 weeks notice. And since the best agents are often the busiest, 2 weeks is quicker than many can accommodate.
