I mean, you live in the North. A lot of angry F-150 drivers up there.

Unfortunately many Canadian cities were designed to get workers back and forth quickly from suburbs to (name your industry...mining, steel, forestry, manufacturing plant), and it developed a long standing car first mentality that I have a lot of trouble with. It's why I long to move to Europe.

Love that our fun little book got picked by fancy dancy Publisher's Weekly as one of their fall GN picks. As our publisher emailed us, "There were a lot of books submitted for this feature (from both Dark Horse and other publishers), so it's great to see that Who Are the Power Pals? was chosen."

It’s a tough road. I mean for me at least. I have yet to self-publish, and luckily have got publishers on board each book, even if it doesn’t make the most sense financially, but it hasn’t been easy.

Honestly? If your goal is to have this with a publisher (not always the best move, but I get the desire) maybe check out the relaunch of Source Point Press? I feel like
This book matches what they used to do in terms of some of their titles. This just feels like a Source Point book to me.

I mean... we have a whole tariff thing going on right now, and a big part of it is dairy, so I won't be sipping on any of this anytime soon, but I would hope @ashcanpress.com would provide a complete review on the next Substack. I expect it's as awful as it seems.

I'm about halfway through and look forward to reading the rest. Thank you for this. As I age, I am finding the deep thoughts of artists reflecting on their life and work just as, if not more, interesting than the work itself. Which is saying a lot for work I find to be excellent.

So sad that Who Are the Power Pals #4 is the last issue. Really enjoyed the characters. It sounds like the ending set up a sequel, so fingers crossed!

You’ll Do Bad Things is a bit trippy because it can be difficult to tell “reality” from fiction, but I want to keep reading.

Yeah, he wasn't misquoted so much as the editorializing assumed he was talking about his specific royaltes. Adam was using 'our' as the collective of all author's under Silver Sprocket. Meaning those that had, or could have their future royaltiies deducted, but the editorializing assumed the 'his'.
