Four-panel comic. Panel 1: A girl stands holding a plush penguin and speaking to Lulu. The girl says, “Penguins are peaceful. Mr. Penguin is from Penguin Island in Antarctica. He wasn’t born there, he was just visiting. My name is Julianne but you can call me Jules.” Lulu stands with her hands together, listening. Panel 2: The girl, Jules, smiles warmly and offers Lulu a cupcake. She says, “We’re friends now. Here’s a cupcake.” The plush penguin is tucked under her arm. Lulu looks surprised and unsure what to do. Panel 3: Jules walks away holding the plush penguin. She says, “Merry Christmas! Bye.” Lulu stands holding the cupcake, looking confused, and says, “Huh?” Panel 4: Dani stands beside Lulu, one hand on Lulu’s shoulder. Dani says, “What was that?” Lulu answers, “Your new friend Jules.” Lulu still holds the cupcake, looking bewildered.

Oh, I missed yesterday’s throw back Thursday comic due to life and work stuff, so here’s a Fallback Friday comic!

Originally I misspelled Jules full name as Julien, so I fixed it here. I still don’t know her last name.

Considering how big Gothic's central-European audience is, mad props for giving each dub its own highlight 👍

Hopefully a console version is on the cards. If there ever was an excuse to resurrect 'black labels', this re-release would certainly qualify as one 😘

True, but then again, we'd know that would be a PR lie. Hands of 'Warner Bros of 2020s' aren't anywhere close to good.

Too bad Spielberg STILL keeps getting involved with cash-in sequels, none of them good. His career skyrocketed with Jaws yet he didn't take its sequels as the warning they were.

To be fair, he didn't want to do even the second one. It's as bonkers as it is because he only agreed to do it if he was allowed to do whatever he wanted with it.

Lulu says, “It’s a Pik Pik. From our mythology. They explain why we started living on land.” Panel 2: Lulu looks frightened and covers her face with her hands. She says, “They are enormous and would eat us by the hundreds. They are still the stuff of nightmares.” Panel 3: Dani walks alongside Lulu with a hand on her chin. Lulu gestures with hands in the air. Lulu says, “The stories are thousands of years old, we’ve only seen them in cave art. But they exist here?!” Panel 4: A girl holds up a plush penguin toward Lulu. She says, “Mr. Penguin is small and he only eats fish sticks and snow cones.” Lulu jumps back in fear saying, “EEP!”

Some world building for Lulu’s planet. I still have no idea where she is from or how she got here. It’s going to be a long process. However, I’m introducing little Jules, short for Julianne, to the mix. More on her in the next comic on Thursday.

Now I went and re-did the entire 'fence / hand-rail' system of the engine. Again, whole thing is about lessening the rendering calls and throwing things to shaders instead. More performance boost is never a bad thing.

Glad to see rapid fixes. Three bugs I encountered (PS5 Pro);

1) Sound mix on the Ivanov boss fight; the music is way too loud, had to knock down volume 10 db.

2) Sprint doesn't work when an audio log is playing.

3) Monsters can sometimes seemingly ignore closed doors and walk through them.

Like clockwork, the moment we get to November, the Christmas décor materialises to the stores – and with them, lots of cheery penguins. A new additions to Lidl's holiday trinkets are these tiny snow globes, one of which features a penguin.

Thematically enough, blasting through horror backlog, featuring 35mm, Karma: The Dark World, Darq and currently going through Beneath.

Also a not indie but great Still Wakes the Deep and its DLC.

Yeah, that is true, it's stayed pretty much as-is, at least on the user side of things. I guess that's the same for devs as well.

SourceForge is still around. It has lost a lot of ground to Github but wouldn't be surprised if it rebounds as Microsoft keeps dual-wielding shotguns at its feet.

Update; According to the official FAQ on Steam, it both works offline and has a separate single player mode. 👍

Perhaps a controversial question, but considering UZDoom's existence is in part due to opposition against AI code use, why is it headquartered on Github? Aka the place Microsoft is literally merging into their CoreAI business as nothing but free repository for prompt answers?

It's recently come to my attention that someone made a fake UZDoom website. DO NOT CLICK IT!

The only official website for UZDoom is ZDoom dot org and the ONLY official place to get future UZDoom downloads would be the official UZDoom Github page!

Sometimes you have to just stare at the elevator pitch of a game for a minute just to make sure you're reading it correctly. And grin for a another minute when you realize you are.
