Travel delay survival guide: Lessons from a chaotic trip home Missed flights, delays, and chaos—travel rarely goes to plan. Here's how I handled a 3-leg flight disaster (and what I learned about staying calm, prepared, and even getting compensated).

If you travel often (or just want to avoid my mistakes), I put all my lessons into one guide:

What to pack, how to stay calm, and how to actually get compensated.

😂 Laugh about it later

The worst travel days make the best stories—after you shower, sleep, and stop silently raging.

Pack some patience and an extra pair of underwear. You’ll need both.

📸 Build your case

If you're in the EU, you may be entitled to compensation under Regulation 261/2004.

Take photos of the delay board. Note the time.

It’s boring now, but future-you will love that €400 refund email.

😤 Stay calm

Travel chaos brings out the worst in people. Don’t be that person yelling at the poor gate agent.

They can’t fix your itinerary—but they can decide how much help you’re getting.

📵 Don’t trust airport Wi-Fi

- Screenshot everything
- Save PDFs offline
- Always carry a power bank
- And yes, a physical debit card still matters (especially when your phone dies mid-crisis)

But here’s the thing: travel never goes perfectly.

What does help is being prepared.

Here’s how I kept my cool (and why I didn’t totally lose it at gate C34):

By the time we landed in Abu Dhabi, I’d already missed my flight to Athens.

The dominoes kept falling:
- Got rebooked on a later flight
- Missed my next one to Rhodes
- Had to pay out of pocket for a brand new ticket

Fun times.

It started with a perfectly on-time boarding. We all sat down, buckled up… and waited.

And waited.

Four hours later, the plane finally took off.

No updates. No snacks. Just the sound of collective patience thinning in real-time.

My return trip from a company retreat in Thailand turned into a full-blown travel mess:

✈️ 3 flights
🕓 4 hours stuck on a plane
❌ 2 missed connections
💸 1 surprise ticket purchase

Here’s everything I learned (so you don’t suffer like I did): 🧵

Why your next career might be your best one yet Find inspiration in the idea that your best work might still be ahead of you, especially if you're exploring a midlife career pivot or a career change later in life.

Career change isn’t just for 20-somethings.

I pivoted in my 30s. Reimagined things in my 40s. Still exploring what’s next.

Hope it resonates: www.tsamoudakis.com/why-your-nex...

How Vibe Coding is shaping the future of Product Design From Figma to function—unpack how vibe coding lets designers create real software through prompts, not code, and redefine their workflows.

If you’re a designer or builder—even if you’ve never written a line of code—this might be your moment.

I wrote about what vibe coding is, how it’s impacting design, and where it might be going next.

Would love your thoughts. 👇

Still, it’s hard not to be excited. This might be the biggest creative unlock for non-coders since Canva or TikTok.

A playground for product thinkers. A fast lane for prototyping. A glimpse at how we’ll build in the next 5 years. 😲

But let’s not get carried away. Vibe coding isn’t a magic wand. 🪄

There’s nuance, risk, and a lot of messy AI output to clean up. Knowing when to vibe and when to verify is quickly becoming a skill in itself.

25.03.2025 11:16 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

For product designers especially, it’s huge. We’re no longer waiting on dev bandwidth just to test an idea.

You can sketch, prompt, prototype—and iterate within hours. It’s wild. And it’s redefining what it means to “design” something end-to-end.

25.03.2025 11:16 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

It sounds like a meme (and honestly, it started that way)…

But the shift is happening. Designers, students, startup founders—you name it—are now building real things with nothing but natural language and a bit of trust in the vibes.

I’ve been playing with a new way of building products—one where you don’t write every line of code…

You just describe what you want, and let the AI do the rest.

Yeah, it’s called vibe coding. And it’s very real. 🧵👇

Klack brought the joy of mechanical keyboard sounds to my MacBook Experience the joy of mechanical keyboard sounds on macOS with Klack. This app delivers a satisfying typing experience without extra hardware.

The real question: Will I get tired of it?

Some apps start out fun but fade away. Will Klack stay on my must-have list or end up in the “cool but unused” pile? 🤔

Find out my full thoughts here 👇

Does it actually make typing more fun?

Honestly… yes. 😅 I’ve got it set to launch every time I restart my Mac.

But when I’m at my desk with my real mechanical keyboard? Klack is off.

The best part? Customization.
🔹 Choose from multiple switch sounds (thocky, clicky, deep)
🔹 Adjust volume & playback speed
🔹 Toggle it on/off instantly
It’s like giving your MacBook a sound mod. 🎛️

Klack is an app with one purpose—to make your Mac sound like a mechanical keyboard. 🎧

It doesn’t change the feel, but it tricks your brain into thinking you're typing on something way more premium.
