like no the bridge and the rockets in my dogshit example are all elements that were made up by the writer and could be changed at will. the story could be *rewritten*.
idk how to describe it other than people appearing to believe that fiction is a documentary of a fictional world.
something like
"i think Main Character solving the problem by crossing the bridge on his own wasnt great. maybe i wouldve liked if his friends helped too and had some lines-"
"no no! you just dont get it! he had to cross the bridge because he's the only one with the power to do it! he has a rocket"
yeah no i completely lack the vocabulary for this. but its funny to criticize the writing in a story and just say its weak or the scene could be done differently. and then have someone come at you with defenses that are purely in-universe.
i think if someone tried to play logic games with magic spells in fantasy stories, they would get laughed at a bit more. idk if i make any sense here. really this is spurred on by someone in discord saying something bizarre (imo)
and what would be the point of that? the important part for that section of the game is the emotional impact of them finding their own corpses. which is at least an interesting idea. what sticks with me after im done with a story is the character interactions and emotions. not the magic making sense
i guess my point is that if someone were to say "well, moebius is stupid for letting the world recycle them immediately, there should be a 10 year timer so eunie doesnt find her husk, Logically" that would be silly. origin is not real. it does whatever the writers want. its magic.
so, for example. ive seen people talk about the workings of origin in xenoblade 3 as if origin is real. its not. the writers could do anything with it for all we fucking care, they could say it makes apple pies every 10 minutes as well but it just wasnt shown on screen. its *magic*
your high-tech spaceship can do whatever the writers want with very vague rules and expectations. its a black box and does not exist in the real world (or it wouldnt really be science fiction)
it is magic. scifi and fantasy are the same thing. theyre not even genres imo, theyre settings.
not sure i have the wording for this. but i think theres something funny about scifi fans not realizing that they're basically interacting with a magic system. and talking about fictional technology as if its real. like no, the special spaceship can do anything the writers want, its a black box -
getting overwhelmed by pokopia again. even though its a game where if you just play it a little bit, youre winning.
which gunpla first?
everyone. i think i could fix malos. i believe i could
OMG HE'S BACK IN STOCK
idk if i make any sense here. robin onto NOTHING
having meyneth soul in you and hitting on him OR getting him to love you and then getting possessed by zanza
guys. i want to be face nemesis so bad. you have no idea. shoulda put me there instead. id dutifully serve egil and wiggle my way into his heart. i could be both the object of his love and devotion and regret all at the same time. and meyneths kinda his mom. he would always feel conflicted seeing me
okay. no im really getting inspired by ppls build ideas in pokopia. you can make apartment complexes. so. what if i make apartment complexes on my sandbox island and they all face inwards. towards a security camera. now imagine its kept dark. imagine that were not sure the camera is even working...
anyone actually organized their shit in pokopia yet? im thinking i might make a warehouse of sorts in the first area. ive just been putting chests eberywhere and straight up losing shit
if you see someone else playing the game, the scorched earth blocked sun panopticon thing im describing is an unnatural way to play the game, but is nonetheless an expression of my free will
you just walk around and make grass patches and pokemon come to them and then you do sidequests for them and make houses and get them items and food they like. its fun but when i beat it, im gonna make a second save file where i miserymax and block out the sun and level the earth flat
just found out you can build a tower straight up and place a security camera on top to be able to quickly see the entire area. awesome. pokopia panopticon?
hubrismaxxing
slept on it and realized. theres certainly gonna be a swimming powerup soon and maybe that island is not meant to be connected by bridges. theres two staircases that go down into the water. im probably meant to swim across. perhaps theres even boats i can make later im just guessing.
just dawned on me. i could go up to the sky in pokopia and place blocks to cover the sun and put the land in eternal darkness if i wanted to just to show them who's their god. just because.
Armored Robin
egil's birthing hips?
the bridges on the beach level in pokopia are giving me a headache. i cannot figure out what the intended layout was. maybe the idea is that it fell into the sea and got moved so you can put bridges anywhere you want. i dont feel like it though i just wanna lay bricks according to directions
timeless
krillin should have had his tacos shirt and crewcut in the tournament of power
