If you want to be an ally to disabled ppl you must also be an ally to homeless ppl bc disability & homelessness are inseparable issues in our society.

If you're not autistic, please try to remember that autistic people can be incredibly sensitive to tone of voice—what a non-autistic person may consider a "firm" voice can feel like yelling.

And if your autistic person has a communication disability, this dynamic may be behind their "behaviors."

Also, getting less and less out of every social media platform I try. People are all dividing their time in different places and it is impossible to form any connection anywhere. I really don't care for TikTok, but it is one of the few places most people are on that isn't owned by Meta or Muskrat.

Since starting at my job last July, I’ve been on them about the fluorescent lights being inaccessible for a lot of us and the autistic kids. In Nov I helped raise $5000 for new lights. Today they are being replaced with warmer tones!!! 🥰
