High prevalence of multi-drug-resistant bacteria in faecal samples from UK passerine birds Scientific Reports - High prevalence of multi-drug-resistant bacteria in faecal samples from UK passerine birds

New paper: rdcu.be/eyR0w

Great to see this one out, concerning findings but a lot more to understand about the ecology and transmission of AMR bacteria in wild bird populations and at bird feeders #ornithology πŸ§ͺ

Looking forward to speaking at the event - I've found Wikipedia really useful in my Hons. class to help the students select important information from published papers and synthesis it as Wikipedia entries - we have been slowly ticking off all the African Raptor species, which often lack good info.

NEW PAPER: using South African nest records, the authors explore phenological shifts due to climate change in the understudied Southern Hemisphere. Three of four selected bird species shifted to later laying from 1950–1999, likely linked to rainfall.
