I've been enjoying reading Simonton's (1984) Genius, Creativity, & Leadership. Over 40 years later, connections between economic insecurity, dogmatism and authoritarianism, and creativity are as relevant as ever.

Is anyone aware of studies assessing the long-term influence of education on personality? Particularly interested in anything exploring whether/how graduate studies might have a lasting effect on one's personality.

I'm seeking scales for some instrument validation work. What are your preferred scales for measuring:
1) Teachers' ability to teach for creativity (self-ratings)?
2) Students' creative abilities (teacher ratings)?

Plugging some research from myself and @jamesckaufman.bsky.social, now officially out in JCB. To peer under the hood of the creative process, we analyzed think aloud data that 266 undergraduate students produced during an open-ended drawing task.

I appreciate the responses! This makes a lot of sense and sound like they'd result in a healthier balance.
