A sneak peak at the next issue of The OSINT Newsletter. Using the Reddit JSON feature, you can enhance the information displayed on page using a bookmarklet.
Here's a demo of the bookmarklet in its basic form.
Going to start writing the next issue of The OSINT Newsletter today.
Focus will be on bypassing Reddit APIs, sort of, for collection at scale.
Iโll also be teasing a bit of audio in preparation for the return of the podcast.
I added my stretch goal, web scraping.
When this tool goes live, there will also be an option to input a URL where the app will then scrape images from that page (if possible) for additional images.
I also added in an option to download all matching images at the end.
Will come with the following
- Free access to the tool (streamlit)
- Companion bookmarklet for image extraction
- Step by step user guide
Bonus: You can continuously add images to this tool to investigate and the app will only show you results that match.
Face recognition investigation tool MVP is complete.
- Upload target images
- Upload images to compare against target images
- Adjust sensitivity
- See which photos match and at what confidence
I'll write about building this tool in this week's issue.
Everything will be shared and open source.

17.12.2024 15:07 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0All of the tools Iโm seeing to obscure your own images from face recognition scraping operations are either no longer work or are too complicated for most to use.
Iโll fix that next month.
The free portion of the OSINT newsletter is done. Working on the paid content today. Hopefully this will be an easy to use, useful face recognition tool you can use in your investigations.

This just hits an API endpoint with your creds and stores the token in the local session. It gets cleared when the session ends. This makes it lightweight. Iโm not the best dev.
