Will Andrew Battenberg soon be spotted shopping at Tesco Kings Lynn, holding his plastic bag with a microwave lasagne and a 4-pack of Special Brew? Alternatively there's always his favourite Pizza Express- also in Kings Lynn? Or even an Uber to Michelin-starred Morston Hall?

Also - a right wing Telegraph journslist, a Tory MP & that Reform nasty - that's 3 out of a panel of 5. Independent & cross- party views BBC??

Exactly. Lib Dems rarely get a chance, despite Ed Davey desperately trying to grab attention with publicity stunts - but what else can you do when BBC media ignore them?

Very good stuff from Sadiq Khan at the Labour Irish society event. He said there are two reasons he loves coming to Labour Conference.

β€œOne is the reception at the Labour Party Irish Society reception.

β€œThe second is to get away from all the Sharia Law in London”

The year of Our Lord, 2025, & a former British PM is championing the views of a Neo-Nazi, as he attacks students for not genuflecting to fascism. I think, if we were to believe in horror movies, the flatulent & incandescent corpse of Churchill must be searching for Johnson now…

So pleased for him to captain and score 2 goals, and what a great strike for the winner - he always had a brilliant left foot! Disappointed to see him not get a longer contract here & understand why he looked around for a move.

Very calm & measured response by our manager. We're so lucky to have him. Hopefully this puts all the hurtful & unpleasant comments by so-called 'fans' to bed. I think there's a large % of racism in the social media hatred towards Omari. They've short memories of what he gave us.

For the next four weeks, we are lifting the 9.30am rule on older and disabled people’s bus passes.

We hope it will help people over the summer as well as provide valuable data on whether we have the capacity and finances to make it permanent.

Please help spread the word! πŸ™πŸ»

Could be a good move for Omari - such a better place to go. He'll learn & improve under Nuno Santo. Brentford move could be risky this season. Such a shame some 'fans' have slaughtered him in the last week, forgetting how good he's been for ITFC & we owe so much to him. We'll miss his contributions.

Good business, that's a lot of money from Wrexham - extremely talented player but ever so inconsistent. Disappears in a game, head goes down. Frustrating to watch.

My take - a series of wrong turns/misfortunes since 1979:

- Election of Thatcher
- Death of John Smith
- Supporting the Iraq War
- GFC 2008
- Austerity
- 2015 election result
- Brexit
- Covid

Eight body blows in 46 years, some of them just bad luck, some self-inflicted.

Yes an interesting list and the sudden death of John Smith I've always thought as important in that it made Labour move in another direction under Blair, and that still has repercussions today. Thatcher (& her multiple elections) has extraordinary influence today too.

Have a word with Shelagh Fogerty - she just said on air, regarding the new asylum news story, "the Government spent 2 years....". Make it clear every time it was the PREVIOUS govt.that started this mess & wasted Β£b's. The public are very quick to blame Labour at the moment.

James you must explore/research more increasing "associste' job titles as your Dr.is currently saying. Public don't know anything about this but often they're not being seen by a trained doctor/ nurse. Associates aren't allowed to prescribe drugs/request scans - but they are.

Nat.Insce rise came about because Tory Jeremy Hunt lowered it twice in order to win votes & elections knowing it was unaffordable in long term. Min.wage is surely respecting & looking after your workforce?( colleagues?)

This afternoon I met the Minister for the Future of Roads, Lilian Greenwood, to talk about the Government's investment for the A12.

I have met the Minister a number of times to press for upgrades to our local road network, so I am delighted that this crucial project is finally progressing.

The Prime Minister came to Ipswich to announce a new era.

Not just for our nuclear industry and our country's energy security, but for jobs and investment in our town and county.

The green light for Sizewell C was a huge boost for local people and businesses, but we are only just getting started.

Suffolk digests what Chancellor's spending review means for East Anglia The Chancellor's spending review did have much for East Anglia - even though most had been revealed in advance of her statement.

What does the Spending Review mean for Ipswich?

- Funding boosts for our critical services like health, education, and policing
- Free School Meals for 6,500 children
- Money to build new social and affordable homes
- Warm Homes Plan to cut energy bills
- Jobs and investment from Sizewell C
