It occurred to me that many Americans are experiencing for the first time a feeling that Black, brown, and Indigenous people have had since forever. Fear and distrust of this government.

Not a “gotcha” statement; it’s my observation.

As an American Indian, I have been designated as an Ethnic Citizen. It's tight here. Navajo and Lakota have been questioned by ICE agents as have other Natives in urban areas where they are conducting raids.

I am not afraid of them. I'm enraged!

We're organizing and educating ppl on their rights.

The fear and terror here is real too. But I cannot imagine what it’s like to be an American in this.

I didn't see the prior posts, and I am feeling very sensitive these days. My apologies. Things are going fast. My whole neighborhood is hiding from round ups as we're a diverse area of Arabs, Muslims, Latinos, and Black and Indigenous People of Color. Some are new arrivals. I feel defensive.

There's a drought of information that Trump needs. Dismantling the Dept of Education is one step, but he won't stop there. Replacing credible journalists in the WH briefings to make room for right-wing podcasters and alt right media outlets is also happening.
