Trump Opens Up Nation’s Aquariums To Commercial Fishing WASHINGTON—Claiming that preservation efforts had impeded U.S. seafood production for far too long, President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he had opened up the nation’s aquariums to commercial fishing. “Starting today, fishermen will finally be allowed to sail into America’s protected aquariums, drop a net in any marine exhibit they please, and begin trawling,” Trump […]

Infographic titled “Criminalizing Protest in Türkiye”. It highlights the mass trials starting in April 2025 for 819 people, mainly students and journalists, charged for protesting the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. The infographic includes a red map of Türkiye and key statistics:
	•	819 people face prosecution
	•	189 on trial April 18
	•	107 charged only for peaceful protest
	•	62 accused of “carrying weapons”
	•	7 journalists treated as protesters
	•	278 detained pretrial
	•	30 reported abuse by police
	•	1 reported sexual harassment

Charges listed with icons: unauthorized demonstrations, not obeying police orders, concealing faces, and incitement to commit crime.
Bottom text: “The charges lack individualized evidence. These trials violate the right to peaceful assembly and free expression.”

Türkiye is putting 819 people on trial — mostly students and journalists. Their “crime”? Protesting the arrest of Istanbul’s mayor. 🇹🇷⚠️

➡️ These mass trials lack real evidence and violate basic rights.

Peaceful protest is not a crime.

It is difficult in some cases to get to the very heart of the matter. But in this case, it

is not hard at all. The government is asserting a right to stash away residents of this country

in foreign prisons without the semblance of due process that is the foundation of our

constitutional order. Further, it claims in essence that because it has rid itself of custody

that there is nothing that can be done.

This should be shocking not only to judges, but to the intuitive sense of liberty that

Americans far removed from courthouses still hold dear.

The government asserts that Abrego Garcia is a terrorist and a member of MS-13,

Perhaps, but perhaps not. Regardless, he is still entitled to due process. If the government

is confident of its position, it should be assured that position will prevail in proceedings to

terminate the withholding of removal order. See 8 C.F.R. $ 208.24(f) (requiring that the

government prove "by a preponderance of evidence that the alien is no longer entitled to

a withholding of removal). Moreover, the government has conceded that Abrego Garcia

was wrongly or "mistakenly" deported. Why then should it not make what was wrong,

right?

The Supreme Court's decision remains, as always, our guidepost. That decision

rightly requires the lower federal courts to give "due regard for the deference owed to the

Executive Branch in the conduct of foreign affairs.

This was a response to Judge Xinis expediting discovery to find the Executive Branch in contempt.

The Trump admin tried to get the 4th circuit to stop it:

The 4th Circuit said: "Hell no. You kidnapped a resident without due process. And if you're confident he's a gangmember, prove it in court."

I think this conservative Judge gave conservatives in the House the clearest reason & evidence to impeach Trump.

What better reason is there to impeach a president than that he disobeys a conservative Supreme Court ruling?

If this was HRC, Obama, or Clinton they'd be all over this in 2 seconds.

This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source.

Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

Did anyone else notice that the email for firing federal employees had “due to poor performance“? This is 100% illegal. They need to show that you were a poor performer otherwise the firing is not valid.

If you had had a EPAP that was satisfactory and above, you have a case against the government.

Our parks are in chaos. We’ve seen firsthand how Trump’s hiring freeze, the rescinding of hundreds of job offers, and the layoff of 5% of NPS staff have left us overwhelmed and short-handed.
