Energy Justice Community Leaders Contribute to Better Energy Policies for Oregon The Energy Justice Leadership Program brings together its participants, known as Energy Justice Leaders, with advocates who engage in energy justice conversations to better energy policies for Oregon.

Often those most impacted by increasing utility rates and energy policy are left out of the decision-making process. Read more about our collective efforts to change that. Thank you @multcosustain.bsky.social for highlighting this important program. #energyjustice

We are outraged by the escalation of violence taking over our communities at the hands of aggressive tactics that put everyone's safety at risk. We stand with our immigrant and refugee neighbors and join others in calling for an independent investigation and a pause to all local operations.

An infographic from Multnomah County regarding utility scams. A large blue banner at the top features a white box with the bold blue text, "Utility Impersonator Alert:". Below this, in large white text, it reads, "When in doubt, call to verify." The Multnomah County logo, featuring a green mountain and blue water, is positioned at the bottom left on a white background.

⚠️Utility Impersonator Alert: NW Natural, PGE and other utility companies are warning of individuals posing as workers to gain access to residents. When in doubt, call to verify:

Portland groups challenge proposal to divert climate action funds to hire police Three Portland-based organizations are challenging a ballot proposal that would divert a quarter of the city's billion-dollar climate action fund's yearly revenue to hire more police officers.

Important update on #PCEF: We're challenging a ballot measure seeking to break voter intent.

“In addition to the legal issues, we’re deeply concerned as a policy matter that this would undermine the really critical programs and projects that PCEF is funding,” [CCC Deputy Director, Jenny Lee] said.

Portland ballot proposal would divert climate tax funds to hire police The idea is the latest suggestion involving the Portland Clean Energy Fund, which has raked in more money than expected.

Thank you, OPB, for including our voice on this issue. We will not let wealthy special interests continue their attempts to disrupt programs for their personal benefit and at voters’ expense.
