I considered the joining the Navy out of college. Even talked to a recruiter about it. Two things stopped me:

1) Trump was elected.

2) I spoke with a vet who plainly told me about all the downsides, including the rampant SA in the military (especially toward women).

Writing update:

I received my editor's notes for DEMONS' NEST (the sequel to CITADEL) a couple of weeks ago and am about halfway through revisions. They want it back by March 9th. Still don't have a release date, but the edits are getting smaller, which is a great sign!
