Harry’s tactics have been interesting.

He knew Murdoch would throw mud at him and his family. Harry did a thing called getting ahead of the story by releasing an autobiography.

Long term planning in a campaign. Our politicians could learn from this. Cease being bluffed by Murdoch and fight.

We're never going to get anywhere in this country if the media keep publishing these sorts of headlines.

Is what Peter Dutton saying true? If not, that's the story. #auspol

I'm not exaggerating: as a historian I consider it to be historical fact that this is one of the most shameful documents in the history of the United States.

It's a concession by federal law enforcement that there's no means available to it to punish one of the biggest traitors in American history.

The notion that people are leaving X for BlueSky because they “can’t handle debate” is rubbish.

They’re done wasting time on unfiltered racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny and stupidity, all while Elon rigs the feed for his own agenda.

Why put up with that when better options exist?

This is the most bizarre hill to die on, and with approx 5-6 months to go until an election, it's an even more bizarre hill to risk votes over

Jim Chalmers laughs as the media dribbles various Liberal talking points.

"they wasted a decade stuffing around and failing .. let's hear Sussan's alternatives - not just the usual thoughtless babbling"

If we don't reduce emissions, there is no backup neutralisation or 'undoing' tech that is going to save us; at least not as much as reducing emissions would have saved us.

CDR (tech or trees), geoengineering, CCS, whatever. None of it can undo the release of gigatonnes of GHGs over many decades

A new era dawns. America’s tech bros now strut their stuff in the corridors of power | Carole Cadwalladr The era that began with the Great Disruptor’s first term is over. Beware the emerging elite

I’m late to this piece which is frankly terrifying. This sort of analysis shouldn’t JUST focus on the problem of information warfare on social media, but also needs to highlight some very big questions about the role of Fox News in creating a post-truth electorate

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive

Yes, my husband and I are both too depressed, it took several days before we engaged at all with any news! Being very specific about what we are viewing, it’s all about self care at the moment.
