More than 1,400 leaders responded in less than 24 hours, overwhelmingly rejecting the inspectorate’s plans.
Ofsted should pause and rethink its plans.

The DfE’s 2.8% pay rise recommendation is ‘deeply disappointing’ and would be ‘a real-terms pay cut’, unions warn in a letter to the education secretary
📈EHCPs have doubled in the last decade, and the DfE predicts they'll double again without policy changes.
🧮 From 518,000 in 2022/23.
🧮 To 1,000,000 in 2032/33.
That is a very large rise.

Primary school pupils in England should not face compulsory tests on phonics, times tables or grammar and punctuation. They are unnecessary burdens on time and funding—teachers know their pupils’ needs. 👇
