Art depicts a scene in the cozy living room at the first person view with the jungle book playing in the TV at the centre of the room. Noticeable thing to note is that the screen is glitching causing the viewer to be confused about it.

Scene continues with character Kaa from jungle book emerging from the TV. Kaa is speaking to the viewer while slightly hovering over the TV counter. “Well well what’s this? I didn’t realise I had an audience…” “Mind if I let myself in? I simply must get better look at you…” Kaa speaks with a elongated speech, his says s sounding words longer like his hissing.

Kaa has now slithered down from the counter to the floor with his neck slightly raised up to look at the viewer better while still speaking to them in a casual manner. “Hmmm. Surprised? Perhaps you underestimated my size” “I can show you just how much there is.” His body is still coming out of the TV, showing how long he his.

Kaa is getting closer to the viewer, his coils leaving trail from him slithering side to side. Kaa has his head tilted with his tongue sticking out of his parted mouth, one of Kaa’s eyes has changed from his usual yellow to hypnotic rings. “Oh don’t get up on my account, little one” “Just stay right where you are…and look deep into my eyes.” Edges of the viewers vision are slightly blurred with similar colours that Kaa hypnotic eye has. Yellow, blue and violet.

Brussels was maybe a little 𝘵𝘰𝘰 welcoming... 🐍

I stumbled upon this giant python down an alleyway when I was wandering aimlessly around the city!

Suzu's initial debut! She was a rogue from the get-go, but... it turns out I was really terrible at drawing clothes, so I stuck her in this really threadbare dancer fit, ha. She was always supposed to be Sascha's best friend, so I ended up mimicking a lot of clothing and hair styles between the two of them, thinking they would have borrowed or copied their styles from each other. You can't see it here, but Suzu's tail crown was also an initial part of her design and is still integral to her story! Maybe I'll reveal it one day... Her full name is actually a tribute to this one role-playing thread on the old KainaKaa RP forums that have been long since deleted. It was titled 'The Thief Who Got Caught' and featured a Suzu Ashling, a mouse-folk thief running away from an angry mob in the jungle, carrying her sister, Sarah, when they run into Kaa. The story ended up on a cliffhanger and never got resolved (as RP threads tend to do), but I was so enamored with the characters and especially the way one of the users wrote Kaa. It was far from one of the best stories ever written, but despite that it managed to make an indelible impression on me that has persisted to this day. Suzu in the thread was described as having reddish-brown fur, which I heavily considered before settling on grey! I foolishly never saved the thread, so it is unfortunately lost to the winds of time... I remember searching for more posts by the users involved to see if Suzu and Sarah ever appeared in any other threads, but it seemed to be a one-off. The users had also ceased activity long before the forums shut down for good... It's weird and funny how people can affect others in the most minute of ways, which is something I'll always associate with and treasure about Suzu.

Suzu's current design! I'm super proud of her new outfit. Her half-cloak is a tribute to the character Felix from the video game Golden Sun, which is one of my favorite jrpgs. The story and writing aren't on par with other jrpg classics, but it was the rest of the game's presentation, visuals, and music that blew me away and still holds up to this day. It did so many details so well that it influenced my tastes and even world-building for my own little setting where some of my characters live in, Exoda. Back to Suzu - out of all of the clothing designs I've come up with, hers feels perfect, which is rare for someone like me who never feels satisfied with my results. The chest belts are an expansion on that belt-bra design you occasionally see - the most prominent example I can think of is that one female generic unit from the Disgaea game series. One belt works fine if your chest is small, sure... but someone with a chest as big as Suzu's is going to need a lot more support, and thus, more belts. If one belt has 100% support power, then two belts have 200% support power, and so on. Suzu's setup has 400% support power! (Yes, this is a reference to that one skit between Llyod and Kratos in Tales of Symphonia, another big influence for me.) I don't think I've ever seen someone else design chest belts quite like this before, so there's a small part of me that always feels chuffed whenever I look at it. Despite that, I always get comments about Suzu's poor back. She's fine. You people underestimate the power of four (4) belts! I do occasionally like the concept of a flat-chested Suzu, however. Maybe she occasionally uses magic to compress or eliminate the chest pillows so she can store gold coins in them instead. Her chest is a literal treasure chest either way! For the longest time I had Suzu walk around barefoot. I was so foolish. I'm really glad I finally gave her some banging high heel paw-boots. High heels are so incredible. Clack-clack-clack-clack-clack...

Suzu's initial design compared to her current design. A lot of her basic elements remain surprisingly consistent. I'm really pleased with how much her fit has improved since her debut!
