I’m sharing this for transparency and to help others make informed decisions. Unfortunately, this artist is giving me no other choice but to make this post. If the artist reaches out and resolves this, I’m open to updating this post

but I have received no response or acknowledgment. They are responding to everyone else, so I believe they are purposely ignoring me.
I also attempted resolution through PayPal and my bank, but was unable to recover the funds due to the payment method used.

The artist abandoned their Twitter account without notice, which was the original point of contact. Over the past 2–3 months, I’ve attempted to reach them through Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, their business email, and comments on their most recent post, -

I commissioned mellyvuong through Twitter in early September and paid via PayPal. It is currently late January, I have not received the artwork, any updates, refund, or any communication. (1/?)

It sounds like I'm rushing them to finish it but I'm not. I want them to communicate with me. If they don't feel like finishing my comission anymore then they can refund me. If my references aren't good enough, I'll make a better one. I just want them to say something instead of ghosting me

(2/3) I dm'ed them on twitter and emailed their business email. My friend sent an dm on Instagram for me and got nothing. We waited for a while. I can't get a refund because I accidentally sent them money via friend and family. I sent them one more comment saying

I have been dealing with an artist that won't communicate with me after I comissioned them. They ghosted their twitter account shortly after opening comissions. Their reasoning is they're burnt out and sick. I waited a couple of months and they're actively posting on Instagram. (1/3)
