A new patch will bring some changes to the death pits, so dying to one dosent set you back all the way back to a save point

of course, if you see some statues you should backtrack, check for a door with some candles
the inside of the monastery its quite a big challenge!, I recommend getting used to the mobility of the character before attempting to go through it. if not you can always try to explore in a different place!
I still remember those talks! almost nothing of the demo existed at that point, hope u are having a great day!
