F.e. my cats are currently ~750 km away so I have a Nerium oleander nana and a Helleborus niger in my wishlist.

As a person who has cats and loves poisonous plants, there're always two wolves inside me. But for sure, unless you can guarantee that your cat can't come close to them it's better not to have them.

Madre mía, ojalá que *por accidente* se coma una tapita con algo que no es perejil. Panda de víboras.🤦‍♀️

But right now the general social agreement is that people might or might not believe in anything but they don't have to tell anyone and even if they declare themselves religious but don't practise religion (except for the exceptions aforementioned), you just shut up and mind your own business.

...but back in their day being an atheist was illegal and could get you in a lot of trouble, and you *had to* be seen at your local church or otherwise your neighbours could badmouth or socially isolate you. So of course people who grew up in that environment still carry the stigma.

Probably it was at a funeral. In Spain a lot of people who grew up during the dictatorship would call themselves "non-practising catholics" which is a nice way to say they only go to church for weddings, funerals and the occasional local holiday because they can't be bothered...

I only went to church when I was a child because my grandparents on my dad side and my great aunts were very religious. Then I simply grew up non-religious. Most of my family is secular, even if my parents would consider themselves Catholic, I can't remember the last time they set foot in a Church.

My job description is something like: I use very very expensive toys to try to figure out where the water is in a crystal that looks like a jelly sandwich.

This morning at work was:
I enter the lab, the technician tells me they've just lost a 1000€ tiny little tube. Panic. Everyone searching the lab to find it. We find it, it was ok. We breathe.
The technician: ok, now it's your time to exchange the 1000€ little tube.

Same happened later with the Garleans and the Ascians. Dehumanisation to justify genocide is a weapon of the enemy and she shall not use it.
She went as far as threatening Fourchenault and destroying all of Sharlayan's not so secret pro-genocide projects. Now they hate her and they will kill her.

Having fled the occupied Ilsabard and being raised in Thanalan, early ARR Varne was as racist as your average Eorzean, which is a lot.
That changed when she became a Black Mage. Her masters were called "beastmen" back then, and she quickly realised it was just to justify the atrocities against them.

I gave my old build (dual scimitar wielder death cleric 6, spore druid 4 fighter 2) to Jaheira and it's still very good when it can abuse touch of death. Were it not for the staff I'd keep playing it on Tav.

I finally reached level 12. My girl is a grown up death cleric necromancer now.
I've respec her a bit to go full spellcaster because the staff of Cherished Necromancy is just too good to miss. I'm blighting people for ~100 damage per action in melee thanks to touch of death with no cost. 🤣

What the hells. I am already registered in Leuven only after two weeks, one online form and one quick visit to the registry office and I remember that when I arrived in Germany the only hope to get registered within the first month was going to the registry at first hour on one specific day and ...

I swear to all the Gods that have ever been prayed to that I'll never ever again complain about having to do my tax declaration, just because this is the last year I'm doing it in Germany and I'm sure that any sort of bureaucratic hell in any other country will be easy in comparison.

I was born in an Iranian prison. My parents were held in their jails. My uncles lie in their mass graves.
Nothing you can tell me about the crimes of the Iranian regime that I haven't lived in blood and bone.
That doesn't mean I want my people bombed, maimed, killed, their homes in ruins.
If your vision of liberation comes only through the destruction of innocent lives, then it's not freedom you're after.
Sahar Delijani, Iranian author

I am pro Iranian people. I stand with them against their own government’s repression AND against the imperial violence in the form of bombs dropped from the sky from Israel & the US who have already killed hundreds.

I support neither imperialism or dictatorship.
