It’s funny too that my father and uncle were the ones shooting the cherry bombs up in the air. My dad held the slingshot pouch back as far as he could and my uncle lit the fuse in the cherry bomb. THAT could have been a disaster.

We set the woods on fire shooting cherry bombs up in the air with slingshots. We panicked and ran over an beat the fires out with pine saplings we pulled up from the ground.

My grandfather had hearing aids and sometimes he would turn my grandmother down or even completely off. It made my granny furious. Not just furious but Daffy Duck having a fit furious.
