I have so many questions!
1. Can a country unilaterally decide to ignore the deadlines of a EU Directive? Legal experts, please chime in!
2. What does this mean for countries that havenβt even published a first draft?

Iβve always wondered why most industries must prove extensively that their products do no harm while tech is exempt.
@matthewhughes.bsky.social has some ideas how to fix that.

It does make sense, but it also requires a new kind of leadership.
Not an IT person. Not an HR person. And this will be the most difficult hurdle to a successful merger.
There are a host of other plausible explanations, supported by data(!), before we can point to AI. I wrote a blog about it anitalettink.com/futureofwork...

Tech oligarchs oppose the idea of any supposedly undeserving person getting financial help from the government in 2025. But they want you to believe theyβll give *everyone* free money in the future.
It doesnβt make any sense, but itβs the techno-utopian lie they will keep selling.
