If I failed, I think 6 more months vocab study will probably be enough to secure a pass at the next test period at the end of the year
Main issue for me has been vocabulary
Strategically speaking, if I had a watch (there's no time warning or clocks in the room), I think I'd be at a "likely passed" confidence vibe? ~25% points from unanswered Qs in the last minute certainly could be enough to tip the scales to pass
I felt strongest in the listening section (answered everything) at maybe 75% confidence
Probably 60% confident in knowledge, but answered maybe ~75-80% of it?
Only answered ~67% of reading comp, so mostly feeling that the result will fall on if I answered at least 50% correctly on this section
For those unfamiliar, the JLPT has a surprisingly low pass threshold of 50%, but requires a minimum ~33% in each section (3 scoring sections for N2, across 2 timed testing blocks)
It's 4 option multiple choice, so technically 25% is baseline performance
Overall predict a fail (at ~70% feeling), but pass is possible
Main issue was not completing the test, but I did answer enough in each section for theoretical ability to pass (I luckily decided to skip ahead to reading comp)
Took JLPT for the first time a few weeks ago - N2, ~1 year of app vocab study, ~6 months weekly 1 hour private test prep
