I also have read that this districting effort relies on Latino support holding steady from 2024 which is not too likely.

The simple fix is to require congressional districts to mirror state legislative districts, but Republicans would figure out how to gerrymander those as well

Unlike Texas, California’s legislature is split 75% Democrats and 25% Republicans. The House map is 17% Republican after flipping 3 seats in 2024. Before then, it was 23%
