it's not quite the same to me imo - horn's feels like survivor's guilt motivated trauma that she hasn't decided how to process, whereas kal'tsit's thing is more, this IS what she's decided to do with it. i think they're in different stages of the grief-acceptance spectrum, if that makes sense?

kal'tsit's long-held resentment of doctor is a very measured and thought-out one on her part and that's a big part of why i love it so much... plus the fact that the story presents her as justified for it. that's really important
