Valid point and the leveraging of such in maintaining existing structures of e.g. land ownership or the commodification of nature.

A healthy ecosystem requires a wide range of species interactions

Focussing only on, eg, pollination or predation, will not hep ecosystem-level conservation

Land is power – Scotland’s people have none Land isn't just about wealth and justice, it's about power. Scotland is cut off from its own land resources and hence is poorer as a nation

"Scotland’s aristocratic families do not cling to their massive estates only because of income but because of the influence it confers – to them, and their children, and their children’s children. It is about controlling Scotland’s future in the way they control so much of its present."

I went to a place, can't remember the name, possibly National Trust, in the north-east of England and in the walled veg garden it had 14 compost boxes! The 14th was the finished article, my word, it was stupendous!

The snow looks beautiful from a heated room πŸ˜‰ Himself has dug the track out 3 times so far and has managed to get his car out today, thankfully, as we're in need of food supplies! If ever you are up this way again I can pass on fleece, with dags if required.

Starmer: β€œGoing for a walk on your own and clearing your head, being out there with nature, is something I really enjoy. The peace, quiet, taking in a wider world – I've always loved it,”

Also Starmer: "The new common-sense approach doesn’t allow newts or bats to be more important than the homes"

Land reform is the pathway to building true people power It is telling that within weeks of the Land Reform Bill passing in our Parliament, we are discussing the future of land reform in Scotland with…

Josh Doble of Community Land Scotland: β€œThis is not a fringe issue. Land reform touches upon all of our lives as we face housing shortages, rising food prices, growing inequality and ecosystem collapse.”

COP30 overpromised, underdelivered, empowered distractions, backtracked on issues and once again gave big oil and big ag a free pass.

Unfortunately, the suspicions of climate scientists (here in Brazil and abroad) were confirmed again.
