My first project was a realistic sheep kit I purchased so this was very much in a similar vein! The techniques just clicked much better this time around 😂

He’s done! Sculpting Deer Alastor out of wool was such a fun little project over the last few days and I am so pleased with how he turned out ❤️

I had to really fuss with the toes to get them to my liking haha. I’m not toooo worried about the antlers, even though I know they’ll be a bit fiddly. But we’ll see if I change my mind 😂

He has a fluffy little deer butt now 😤❤️ Should be able to finish up everything except maybe his antlers tonight!!

It’s a fun and very cathartic hobby, in my opinion! It’s also easy to put down and come back to which is great for my mercurial attention span haha

Thank you! I occasionally get the urge to pick up a new or old hobby and work with my hands, and this is keeping me from spending far too much money on fabric for a quilt or a new cosplay haha

Progress continues on the Deer Alastor needle felt figurine! We have some hooves and a bit more defined body shape now, also started twisting the antler wires into shape. I’ve managed to only stab directly into my fingers like three times so far 😅

YES. The creatures in that game were so interesting, I watched a play through of that game because horror games stress me out when I play them 😂

I’ve recently remembered I have needle-felting materials, very unpracticed knowledge of said hobby, and the dogged determination to sledgehammer my way through complicated crafts when The Whim hits. Perhaps the boy shall be real 👀
