#Devtober Nexus Overdrive Development Update (after long days of irl stuffs)

Finally form some actual level and rebalancing character speed and boosting. Also experimenting with other boosting style (not included in video), was planning to add around 3-4 stages (hope it'll be in time).

Day 13 of #devtober (i think?)

Things I've done
- Added teleporter with customizable destination
- Added fans that levitate player up
- Added wall run section where player can fall if in low speed

now the stage gimmicks are all added, I'll add player animations for those gimmicks next.

after 4 days of silence

I did graphic for tiles and gimmicks, it harder than i thought to came up with good looking visual that doesn't look too repetitive.

Plan for tomorrow, I'll add few more stage gimmicks and add some background, so I could build actual level in next week.

Things I've done
- Customizable Floating platforms where i can custom the type between moving or on/off. and also speed, directions and timing too but there's few bugs that I'll fix tomorrow.

Plan for Day 9, I'll do better graphics for stage gimmicks and tiles.

Day 6 of #Devtober

Things I've done
- Add Speed pad with customizable directions
- Add Water + water physics
- Experiment with Rotating 3d BG to give some "run in circle" illusion

Plan for Day 7, I think I'll do Trello board listing the game outlines to give me the visual of game scope.

Day 4 & 5 of #Devtober
things i've done
- Add collectable Tokens (day 4)
- Collected Token will used for upgrade Speed cap or add boost capacity
- Add Hazard tokens that reduce player's speed cap

Plan for day 6, I'll add some stage gimmick such as water, launcher thingy, dash pad etc.

- Added Main character's arm with movement relative to speed

Day 1 & 2 of #Devtober
Project i worked on for this jam is old project i made long time ago, Nexus Overdrive. It's 2d side scroller where player have to maintain the speed & flow consistently.

What I've done
- Character sprite
- Slope Physics
- HUD
- Speed cap
- Finalize boosting mechanic
