Honestly could be any of the squirrels at Davis, they're all very habituated to people and sassy.
Yeah, Gero is a tourist destination in the Hida mountains (a bit north from Nagoya) and its economy is based around its onsen. Beautiful place, and following the stream running through the town serves as a pleasant mild hike.
