Friday fish drawing: the pencil drawing shows a small human figure seen as a light silhouette against a group of distant, dark towers that are shaped like fishes. The gound is smooth and could be snow, with the person‘s footsteps visible, and the air seems misty. Freitagsfischbild: Bleistiftzeichnung. Eine kleine menschliche Figur zeichnet sich als heller Umriss vor einer Gruppe ferner, dunkler Türme ab, die wie Fische geformt sind. Auf dem Boden (Schnee?) sind die Fußspuren der Person zu sehen, wie sie auf die Türme zugeht, die ein wenig im Dunst verschwimmen.

Comicseite (deutsch): Mohsel spricht mit Schiaparelli über seine besonderen Kräfte. Er sagt: „Das bedeutet auch große Verantwortung – Bedenke … welche Möglichkeiten … (…) Ich habe eine Idee!“. Er nimmt Stoff und Nähzeug, sagt „Warte kurz!“, geht in den Nebenraum und schliesst die Tür. Schiaparelli wartet, bis die Tür wieder aufgeht.

Friday fish drawing: a rather clean line drawing of a tin toy fish with a wind-up key in it‘s back. The fish is hovering slightly above the ground and has a segmented tail, allowing the tail fin to curve a bit towards the viewer. The fishes body is white with some red shapes indicating scales and fin rays, and on the first tail segment there are small letters, reading „ACME FISH TOY“. Drawn on off-white yellowish paper with black and dark red ink, red and black pencil. On the upper sticks a somewhat dirty stamp, 10 euro cents. Freitagsfischbild: die eher klare Zeichnung zeigt einen Blechspielzeug-Fisch mit einem Schlüssel zum Aufziehen im Rücken. Der Fisch schwebt etwas über dem Boden und sein Schwanzende ist in ringförmige Segmente aufgeteilt, so dass es sich etwas zum Betrachter hin biegen kann. Der Körper ist weiß mit einigen roten Partien, die Schuppen und Flossenstrahlen andeuten, und auf dem vordersten Schwanzsegment steht in kleinen Buchstaben „ACME TIN TOY FISH“. Oben links klebt eine etwas schmutzige 10-Cent-Briefmarke. Die Zeichnung ist mit schwarzer und dunkelroter Tinte auf gelblichem Papier ausgeführt, mit einigen Akzenten in rotem ind schwarzem Bleistift.

Every now and then, Wolves appear as guardinas of liminal spaces in folktales.

In our 17th #winterfolklore tale we go to the slopes of El Turbón in the Pyrenees and meet three of them being just that.

And they take their job seriously – read their story below!

Friday fish drawing: the paper is a fruit bag made of brown paper, printed with various fruits in green colour. The printing is altered using white, black and green lines to look like two strange looking fishes, one of them trying to eat a tiny worm. The upper left corner reads „23. Jan“. Freitagsfischbild: eine Obsttüte aus braunem Papier, auf der in grüner Farbe verschiedene Früchte aufgedruckt sind. Der Druck ist so überzeichnet, dass er aussieht wie zwei seltsam geformte Fische. Einer davon schnappt nach einem kleinen Wurm. Oben links steht das Datum „23. Jan“.

Friday fish drawing: a single fish with pointed teeth is swimming towards the left with its tail fin curved around towards the viewer. In front of the fish is a small spherical air bubble. The drawing is on brown paper, drawn mostly in white, with only few darker areas and lines, giving the fish a slightly ghost-like look. Freitagsfischbild: ein einzelner Fisch mit spitzen Zähnen schwimmt nach rechts, wobei seine Schwanzflosse in Richtung des Betrachters umgebogen ist. Vor dem Fisch befindet sich eine kleine, Kugelförmige Luftblase. Das Bild ist hauptsächlich mit weiß auf braunem Papier gezeichnet, mit nur wenigen dunkleren Linien und Flächen; dadurch sieht der Fisch ein bisschen geisterhaft aus.
