As others have noted, Stephenson's transphobia did tend to surface when open letters opposing e.g. GRA reform circulated.

I am saying this as someone who was *also* very active in feminist politics in Coventry around the same time. Stephenson had to keep something of a lid on her transphobic views as they were not widely welcome within feminist organisations and meetings in Coventry.

Occasional reminder that “puberty blocking hormones” IS the comprise, to delay bodily changes that are hard to undo until the child is old enough in the estimation of bigots to decide on actual hormones. “Don’t ban puberty blockers” is the *bare minimum ask*

The EHRC plans to run sessions with stakeholders & MPs during the consultation period it’s announced. The input of those making submissions will not be heard within that exercise because it will be ongoing. Is the EHRC using those sessions to just sell its existing stance to business/lawmakers?
