Treat yourself and your friends. One of the most gripping and delightful books I've ever read.* An immersive experience into 18th century London as well as a beautiful page turner. I loved it from start to finish and want to read it all again. *Well, audio book which is just outstandingly performed.

This is my favourite of all Laura’s books (though I haven’t yet read the most recent - saving it for my holiday!)

Highly recommended - one of the best historical novels I've ever read - and for far less than the price of a cup of coffee!

AI nudification: the latest weapon of violence against women and girls In Julie Burchill’s recent article in the Spectator, Does it really matter if Grok undresses us all?, she makes the argument that those who, like me, have repeatedly had their clothes removed by socia...

This week, an X user created an AI video of me being chloroformed and prepared for rape.

Victims are told it's not real and they're getting offended for no reason.

But nudification tools are weapons of sexual assault, and the harm they cause is real πŸ‘‡

Genuinely hilarious to me that both Harriet and Jessie set out *in front of everyone* what their suspicions are and that the remaining Faithfuls have basically gone 'well, who needs to give that any headspace at all'.

Usually the Faithfuls have bad theories or have to follow the handful of hints they have in a faintly arbitrary way. This year's gameplay seems to be 'whatever you do, don't use logic in any way'.

I read somewhere that the biggest fear a writer has is a blank page. I'm surprised that with their supposed fertile imaginations they couldn't come up with something more scary than a bit of paper. What about being attacked by a polar bear or perhaps galling down a really deep well full of giant, man-eating frogs? I'm no Jeffrey Archer but even I could come up with that one.
