Out Run had a vibe that a lot of racing games could never touch. The music was like 75% of it.

There was absolutely a balance.

A balance between getting the player to lose often enough without getting frustrated enough to walk away.

Those machines were impossible. "Nintendo hard" was a walk in the park in comparison!

This has definitely dulled my anticipation for GTA 6. And I say that as someone who lives in Miami and would have extra appreciation for its setting.
