Tips to get the latter out of my discover feed? I’ve got all the relevant content settings I can find in the app set up. Why does it think I want this?

You know those videos of colorblind people who put on the glasses that make color-separation stronger so they can “see” the full spectrum? They end up getting really overwhelmed by how much more visual noise there suddenly is.

BlueSky seems like the inverse of that. So much less noise, just signal.

Christian has also made it clear that even if Reddit makes an about-face he’s unable to work with them due to them operating in bad faith. Doesn’t sound like leverage to me, sounds like believing someone when they tell you who they are.

Huffman has been given every opportunity to clear his name — there’s no ambiguity about what’s happening here. Huffman is slandering an app developer because he’s angry that that developer anticipated his acting in bad faith enough to bring receipts.

I mean… Christian provided the full audio of their phone call which you can compare to Huffman’s statements. It’s fairly clear who’s slinging mud in this instance.

CSS is the new Vim

We run support for FormKit through our own Discord server and over the last year there have been a surprising number of questions about basic CSS functionality that’s only tangentially related to FormKit.

It’s almost like the expectation is that there be a prop for every possible UI permutation.

Am I alone in seeing a trend of reduced CSS literacy in new devs?

“Back in my day” HTML, CSS, and JS were the holy trinity of equal value for front-end engineers.

And no, I’m not talking about Tailwind here.. regardless of tool choice I see underlying CSS literacy falling.

Watched the first 2 episodes of Silo on AppleTV. So far so good — enjoyed the first book several years ago and this is pretty much how I imagined it in my head.
