DejaVue Episode 061 thumbnail inspired by Jim Halperts "The Pyramid" speech in the office. Daniel Roe in white formal clothes showing a black triangle, while Alex, Sebastien and Michael watch at the bottom.
And the episode is out! Listen now to @danielroe.dev and @atinux.com explaining what impact the @nuxtlabs.com acquisition of @vercel.com has
* For you as developer
* For the @nuxt.com framework
* For the community
* For the folks who worked at NuxtLabs before
* and more
**This will bring clarity**
I'm thrilled to share this news! I'm genuinely happy to see the teams coming together on this exciting new journey.
I believe this collabo will go a long way in bridging the once-distinct communities β Vue/React, Nuxt/Next, Vite/Turbopack β having closer collaboration and better resource sharing
I have full confidence in all of them, as they hold open-source values close to their heart.
08.07.2025 19:53 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0For those concerned about Nuxt and Nitroβs independence: rest assured. Vercel is commited to Open-Source and both projects will remain under the MIT license, continue to operate independently, with open governance and a public roadmap. The best example is how @svelte.dev remained independent.
08.07.2025 19:53 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Congrats to @atinux.com , @pi0.io , @danielroe.dev , @antfu.me and the entire @nuxtlabs.com team on joining @vercel.com !
Itβs truly exciting to see four members of the Nuxt Core Team joining Vercel β a move that will help make open source more sustainable for them.
We are joining forces with Vercel β¨
Nuxt stays MIT-licensed. The roadmap stays public. The community stays at the center. π
it's beautiful isn't it ?

Here's a fluffy cake while waiting for 4.0.0
What do you mean "nonsense" ?
@danielroe.dev just delivered an emotional rollercoaster wrapped in syllables.
No. a lyrical masterpiece.
No! a divine download from the pastry gods themselves, sent to reveal the truth to us !
B would probably make `defineEventHandler` less customizable (as a maintainer) if you want to modify its type in the future. π€
Why not putting this into an option object ?
I personally prefer the first and last one.
we are delighted to announce that nuxt v4 alpha ships TODAY! π

not sure how much sleep there will be over the rest of the month π
(there's so much work still to do)

Bolt are looking for an engineer to advance web computing by working on WebContainer, the first-ever in-browser WebAssembly-based operating system. The job is remote and gives you a high degree of autonomy. But more than that, you'd be getting paid to be an Open Source contributor to projects such as Node.js, Next.js and others. Sound good? Apply now.
