Well, slowly but surely, public pressure has made a difference so far, hasn't it? I don't think Great Uncle Nonce is entirely out of the woods just yet. Agree it's probably unlikely he ends up in court, but it strikes me as not totally impossible. There's still some hope the survivors get justice.

Yes, I think you're 100% right. It's all rather convenient that the Queen's timely (in this case) death saved her reputation from the besmirching Andrew would doubtless have delivered to it, exacerbated as it would have been by her likely refusal to take action against him.

I don't think there's anything there for the Royal Family to see that isn't available to be seen by the "family" of American holders of power. The latter, too, has doubtless put two and two together. But they've chosen to do nothing about the result.

I sincerely and genuinely hope you're right. But the belief that "this will course correct over the next couple of years" sounds to me, with respect, like little more than an American excuse to do nothing to stem the sweeping tide of fascism that's drifting towards you now.
